Larry D. Moles

Larry D. Moles, born November 22, 1939 in Cuyahoga Falls, passed away May 13, 2024.  Peacefully reunited with his wife, Sharon A. Moles.   He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth A. Moles “Betsy”, (Brett R. Strain), and Deborah A. Moles “Debby”, (Benny Savage).  Also survived by his grandchildren, Cherann E. Strain, and Brett R. Strain, Jr., many deeply loved nieces and nephews, and adored sister-in-law, Hiroko (Mickey).   He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Roy and Ethel Moles, his 10 siblings (he being the youngest of 11), Roy, Dale, Ralph, Jerry, Bob, Butch and Herky, and 3 sisters, Margie, Carol and beloved Dot.

Larry and Sharon met at the local Tiger Den dance, both graduates and residents of Cuyahoga Falls.   They resided in Northampton Township since they were wed November 26, 1962.  Larry graduated in 1957, worked briefly for Acme grocery, and then went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy, a veteran of the Vietnam war. He is a retiree from Chrysler, which he proudly would “buy what we build.”

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle he will be deeply missed. His last moments were with his family holding his hands and by his side, making sure he would know how much he is loved and always will be in our hearts.  Reminding him of the many memories created over the years of fond vacations camping, beloved dogs, cherished holidays, birthdays and times spent together. We cannot forget to mention his sense of humor and the countless “dad” jokes he taught us. To have known Larry, my dad, was a blessing. My sister and I were truly fortunate to have “the best dad in the world.” He made friends everywhere he went.

A huge thank you and much love to the doctors, nurses and staff at Marymount Hospital where his last days were spent.

Flowers are appreciated but a donation in his name to a local animal shelter would be wonderful.
