Lavinia M McIntyre

Lavinia Mae McIntyre was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 16,1924 to Edith and Chris Johnson. After moving to Ohio with her family she resided in Akron, Cuyahoga Falls and Stow. Lavinia attended Springfield High School. She was a member of Silver Lake Country Club and was an avid golfer. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls.

Lavinia was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, and her daughter, Marcy. She leaves behind her daughter, Becky (Ron) Williams and her grandson, Jason.

We wish to express our gratitude to Attorney Greg Bean, the staff at Danbury Woods, advocate, Jennifer Douglas, many special friends, her Hospice nurses and to her Hospice Chaplain, Daniel.

May her journey into paradise be one of peace and understanding and may the stars shine a little brighter knowing that she is home and happy.

Guests are welcome for visitation from 4:30-5:30 pm with a funeral service to begin at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. She will laid to rest privately at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron, OH. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made in Lavinia's memory to the Falls Cancer Club, https://www.fallscancerclub.org/.
