Lincoln Hackim Jr. was born on June 2, 1943, and passed away on June 1, 2025. A celebrated figure in both his professional and personal life, Lincoln was a devoted husband, father, mentor, and friend. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Lincoln Sr. and Helen, and his cherished son, Lance.
Lincoln’s unwavering devotion to his family is evident in the enduring love he shared with his wife of 58 years, Susan “Sue,” and their children: Lincoln III, Shannon (Ken) Morris, and Landon (Michelle). His legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Lincoln IV, Payton, Brooke, Miles, Graham, and Sam. He is also survived by his sister, Pam (Jim) Workman, daughter-in-law, Wendy, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will fondly remember his spirit.
An esteemed member of the Summit County Baseball Hall of Fame, Lincoln dedicated 30 years of his life as a teacher and educator at Cuyahoga Falls High School. His passion for teaching was deeply rooted in the lessons he learned from his father, Lincoln Sr. Throughout his career, he coached baseball and basketball at various levels, instilling the values of hard work and dedication in all his players. His competitive spirit was infectious, and the teams he led often reflected his tenacity and character. While his coaching style could be no-nonsense, those fortunate enough to know him experienced a caring and compassionate mentor who believed in the potential of each individual.
Lincoln’s immense love for his family was ever-present, particularly following the heart-wrenching loss of his teenage son, Lance. In his honor, he co-founded a nonprofit scholarship fund that continues to benefit student-athletes annually, ensuring that Lance’s memory and legacy endure in the hearts of many.
Beyond the classroom and the field, Lincoln had a vibrant passion for Corvettes. Many joyful moments were spent with Sue at car shows, where they shared their love for these remarkable vehicles and created lasting memories together.
A celebration of Lincoln's life will occur on Sunday, June 29th, from 1:00-3:30 PM at the Sheraton in Cuyahoga Falls, 1989 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
As friends, family, and colleagues gather to honor his memory, they will reflect on a life rich in love, passion, and unwavering dedication to those he cherished the most. Lincoln Hackim Jr. will be deeply missed, but his spirit and teachings will undoubtedly echo through the lives he touched.
