Lois Annalee (Sellers) Nosel, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born on January 4, 1934, in Central City, Pennsylvania, to Traverse and Irene Sellers. Raised in a hardworking coal mining family, Lois developed a deep appreciation for strong work ethic from an early age. Shortly after graduating high school, she began working at Bali Bra Co. and later held positions with several other sewing companies in Pennsylvania.
In 1956, she married John Levi Nosel and moved to Akron, Ohio, where she began working at City Hospital. After starting a family, Lois devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her children and creating a loving home.
Lois enjoyed sewing, crafting, and listening to country music. She was a devoted fan of General Hospital and rarely missed an episode.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John; her parents, Traverse and Irene; and her sister, Doris (Sellers) Hook.
Lois is survived by her loving sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Annette Nosel, and Brian and Melissa Nosel, all of Akron; grandchildren, Amanda (Joe Saller), Nicole, Olivia, Nicholas, Brittany, and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Isabella, and Waylon; brother-in-law, Steve Hook; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls.
Following services in Ohio, Lois will be transferred to Central City, Pennsylvania, for a private family service and interment at McGregor Cemetery in Cairnbrook, Pennsylvania.
