Mabel F. Harris

Mabel F. Harris, 104, longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on June 3, 2024. Mabel was born on February 28, 1920 in Maryland, daughter of Christian and Carrie Beitzel. She was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Falls Berean Bible Church and the Akron Mineral Society. She was a talented artist, enjoying painting, jewelry making and flower arranging.

Along with her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, William Harris and 7 siblings.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Beverly Poitras and Elaine (Larry) Abmyer; grandchildren, Arlin (Nami) Landry, Jonathan (Jennifer) Abmyer and Jennifer Abmyer; great-grandchildren, Eric Landry and Alyssa, her spouse and their 3 children, all of Japan; and brother, Paul Beitzel.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 11 am until noon, with a funeral service immediately following, all at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorial donations, if desired, may be made in Mabel's name to the Haven of Rest or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
