Marguerite L. Stolfo, 98, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025 at home. Born on March 1, 1927, in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Margaret Sipe and lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. Marguerite worked briefly at the Akron Beacon Journal, where she met her future husband, John F. Stolfo, beginning a love story that would shape her life and family for generations.
A faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Cuyahoga Falls since its founding in 1952, Marguerite’s faith guided her throughout her life. She generously volunteered at the Taylor Memorial Library and found joy in gardening, golfing, swimming, reading, playing cards, sewing, quilting, and staying active. Above all, she treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John F. Stolfo; her sons Mike and Pat Stolfo; and her grandson Lee Stolfo. She was also preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Margaret Sipe; her brothers Wilbur, Jack, Barrett, Jimmy, David, and Paul Sipe; and her sisters Dorothy Good and Evelyn Williamson.
Marguerite is survived by her children: sons David, Paul (Melanie), and Ray Stolfo, and daughters Rita Ditto (Rodney) and Carol Stegall (Tom). She is also survived by her sister Sarah Hagenbush and her sister-in-law Mary Sipe. She was a loving grandmother to Kristen Stolfo; Shannon Stolfo (Mike Mammen); Erin Stolfo (Phillip Simmons); Brandianne Garcia (Rodrigo); Robyn Heitic; Meranda Adams (Ryan); Sam Stolfo; John Ditto II; Jessica Frient; Charles Stegall; and Sarah Lammert (Josh). She was blessed with a growing family of great-grandchildren: Bailey and Auden Balouch; Journey and Marley Mammen; Lincoln Simmons; Andrew Frient Jr., Chelsea, and Calvin Frient; Mytchel and Maci Stegall; Jackson, Rosie, and Lucas Lammert, Barry Cross, Ryan and Beau Bennett, Holly Hodgson, Calliope and Quincy Adams, and Adriana and Jax Stolfo; Maxuel and Zoie Portillo, and Jonni Garcia; and special family friend, Paula Stolfo.
Marguerite will be remembered for her quiet strength, her generous heart, and the love she so freely gave to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the strong, loving family she leaves behind.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and private interment will be held at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
