Marilyn Renee (Crile) Diefendorff passed away on April 29, 2021 after a long battle with Parkinson's Dementia with Lewy Bodies. She was born on August 7, 1952 to her parents, Alice and Robert Crile, who preceded her in death.
She grew up in Bath Ohio, the youngest of four girls and her dad nicknamed her Peanut. She spent her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Surgical Technician for Dr. Wesley Van Fossen for 25 years. She was an avid cross stitcher winning multiple awards. Marilyn enjoyed volunteering in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park on the Trailblazer and Questing programs, and at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens.
Since she had no children Marilyn traveled with her husband and raised two four legged sons, Anheuser and Stormie. Marilyn was a very caring and thoughtful person and will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to meet her.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gary Diefendorff, sisters, Tanya Oosterhouse, Rebecca Aimone (James), and L. Jane Hollister (Terry). She was Aunt Marilyn to numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Maplewood of Cuyahoga Falls and Serenity Hospice of Stow for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Akron Children's Hospital Beads of Courage Foundation or Akron Children's Hospital Showers Childhood Blood and Cancer Fund (CBC). Arrangements entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
