Mark W. Blaser

Mark Wayne Blaser, 73, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and recently Powell, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 29, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born April 22, 1952, in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Teddy W. Blaser and Ruth M. Keck Blaser.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Christine Gail Heacock.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia, his son, Bradley W. (Vera) Blaser of Worthington, OH, and daughter, Bonnie L. (James) Blaser-Garrison of Worthington Hills, OH; Granddaughters, Hannah and Claire Blaser and Eloise Garrison; sister, Barbara L. (Kathy Joseph) Blaser of Orlando, FL, sister, Kathleen R. (Robert) Heacock of Clermont, FL, and brother, Kurt L. Blaser of Columbus, OH; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Mark was a proud graduate of Richardson Elementary, Bolich Junior High, Cuyahoga Falls High and The Ohio State University, where he majored in Finance and found his career in Private Banking with The Huntington National Bank.

Mark was a devoted son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather. He met the love of his life, Cindy, in the First United Methodist Church Epworth choir, and they shared 50 beautiful years together. Their devotion to each other was beyond special. He and Cindy fought many years of medical battles together. He was a true warrior.

He enjoyed the accomplishments and successes of his son and daughter. Many hours were spent catching fastball pitches with Bonnie as she excelled in her softball career at CFHS and summer travelling teams, as well as Brad’s participation in the CFHS and OSU Marching Bands. Bonnie’s career in architecture and Brad’s medical career were sources of great pride. In addition, there was nothing that pleased him more than spending time with his three granddaughters and watching them grow and learn.

Many days were spent making maple syrup, eating sweet corn, hunting arrowheads, and enjoying long hayrides with his family at the Blaser Farm in Upper Sandusky, OH. Most special to him was enjoying time with Cindy in their dream log home they built at their ranch in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Mark loved travelling the country in their camper and revisiting sights that he experienced as a young boy with his family. He was also excited to travel with Cindy’s family in the US and Europe.

Visiting hours will be from 10-11am, Monday, June 23, in the Parlor of the First United Methodist Church at 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
