Mary Godward

Cuyahoga Falls- On May 12, 2023, God blessed Mary by allowing her to pass peacefully in her sleep.

She was born in Orrville on February 13, 1962 to Charles and Eileen (Nicholas) Landers. She was the last of five children, having four older brothers, Terry, Pat, Kevin, and Michael. Her brothers did their part to make sure she was a strong, well-grounded woman. She joins both her parents and brother, Michael in heaven.

She married Eugene G. Godward on May 26, 1984. He survives; they celebrated a wonderful life together, making the most of the many transitions that were brought their way. Together they had their children, Robert of Akron, Michael (Casey) of Cuyahoga Falls, and Hannah of Cuyahoga Falls. Her children were the joy of her life. It was wonderful for all of us to grow together, but never grow up!

During her lifetime she was a wonderful wife and mother, a real estate agent, jewelry store clerk, Penney’s associate, and a stained-glass artist. She excelled at them all.

Raise a glass to her memory, know you are better off for having known her, and know that she is where she wants to be. We love you forever!

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private Mass at a later date. Also at a later date there will be a celebration of life.
