Melissa Sue Anderson

Melissa Sue Anderson, age 43, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully on October 23rd, 2025. Born on January 9th,1982, Melissa was the beloved daughter of the late Kathy Marie (Christian) Anderson and Bernard “Bernie” Ira Anderson. 

From the moment she came into the world, Melissa had a vibrant spirit, a compassionate heart, and a quick wit that brought joy to everyone around her.

A proud graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, class of 2000, Melissa was a Jones Basketball Girl, forever proud of where she came from and the sport she loved so much.

After high school, she continued her education and achieved one of her lifelong goals—earning her Registered Nursing degree from Stark State College. Nursing was more than a career for Melissa; it was her calling. She cared for her patient with deep empathy and compassion treating each person like family. Whether it was working in hospitals or hospice, she went above and beyond to make sure her patients felt comforted, seen, and cared for.

Melissa is survived by her children, Lukas (Tracie) Mihailovic, Meredith Hupp, Faith Ryan, Delaney Molignoni, and Giada Kay; her siblings, Diana (Dave) Hupp, Christina (Nick Hause) Anderson, and Bernie (Jessica) Anderson; former partner, Leslie Molignoni; and her best friend of 28 years, Christine “Cuz” Miller. As Melissa would say, DaVinci code 1221B forever. She also leaves behind many extended family members who will hold her memory close to their hearts.

Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, October 28th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Wednesday, October 29th, at 11:00 a.m. at FallsCreek Community Church, Chaplain Anthony Burwell officiating, 149 Northmoreland Ave, Munroe

Falls, OH 44262. She will be laid to rest privately at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
