UNIONTOWN – Mildred R. “Millie” McGraw, 84, passed away December 28, 2018. She was born on July 2, 1934 in Letherbank, West Virginia to Dorotha and Jacob Wayne. Millie was an employee of Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. for 5 years before leaving the work force to become a stay-at-home Mom. At age 50 she returned to work, spending 4 years as secretary for the Miller Avenue United Church of Christ and retiring from the Good Shepard United Methodist Church after 10 years of service.

Millie was a member of the Williard United Church of Christ since 1954. She was a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years and was a Consistory member serving as both Deacon and Elder and was the first woman president of that body.

She received a State Life Membership from the Ritzman PTA and was a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. Millie was an excellent seamstress designing and sewing clothes for herself, family and others for many years. She loved working outdoors in the yard and garden. Her greatest achievement was raising three wonderful children.

Predeceased by her parents and brother, Boyd Wayne; she is survived by her husband, Richard E.; children, Cheryl, David (Debbie) and Jeffrey McGraw and grandson Zachary McGraw.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday January 7, 2018 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Inurnment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
