Nancy E. Oplinger

Cuyahoga Falls- Nancy E. Oplinger, 87, passed away peacefully August 11, 2022. She was born in Cleveland to the late John and Julia Kapis. Nancy was a 1953 graduate of Wellington High School and attended Miami University. She retired from Akron General Medical Center after 39 years of service.

Preceded in death by her siblings Richard Kapis, Geraldine Hassler and John Kapis; she is survived by her husband of 63 years, James; children, Brad (Lisa), Cindy (James) Bray, Michael (Kimberly) and Greg (Mindy); grandchildren, Alex (Amber) Bray, Ashley (Jon) Pokorny, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Emma, Michael, Audrey, and Jack Oplinger; great-grandchildren, Erin Bray and Skylar Pokorny; sisters, Diann (Robert) Phillips and Mary Lou (Jim) Gregg and numerous nieces and nephews.      

Visitation will be held from 10AM-12PM on Monday August 15, 2022 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM the same day at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1761 2^nd St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Interment will be at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
