SANDUSKY- Neal A. Lindsley, 93, went to be with the Lord April 3, 2023. He was born in Sandusky, Ohio and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for fifty-four years. Most recently he has lived in a senior residence in Sandusky at Parkvue Place since 2017 and has been a member of the First Congregational Church of Sandusky

He is the son of J. Ray Lindsley and Alverna (Werner) Lindsley. He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1948 and from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio in 1953. While at O.U. he was elected National President of the Independent Students Association (NISA). He served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 during the Korean War. He was a retired accountant from Roadway Express in Akron with almost 30 years of service. While living in Cuyahoga Falls he was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls and the Wesley Adult Sunday School Class. He was also associated with the Cuyahoga Falls Civic Music Association and the Friends of Cuyahoga Falls Library for many years. He was a volunteer usher at E.J. Thomas Hall and the Akron Civic Theatre.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife of fifty-one years, V. Isabelle (Leasure) and his second wife, Mary (Fenker) Lindsley. Neal is survived by a daughter, Susan Lindsley and seven grandchildren, Jessica (Tom) Martindale, Kathryn, Jacob and Joshua Novisky, Jeanna (Kyle) Miller, Rebecca and Garrett Murphy, and two great grandchildren, Rory Miller and Jett Martindale. He is also survived by a sister, Ann (Harry) Wright of Huron and brothers, Ben (Bonnie) Lindsley of Huron and Don (Caron) Lindsley of North Ridgeville and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday April 10th, 2023, from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Rev. Lenore Kure officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made in his memory to the Gifts and Memorial Fund, First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, 44221 or a charity of your choice.
