Omie Williams

Cuyahoga Falls- Omie Franklin Williams, age 89, formally of Cuyahoga Falls, went home to talk to the Lord on 11/27/2021. Originally from Youngstown, he graduated from Rayen School in 1951, which has been torn down despite his disapproval.
A staple in Cuyahoga Falls, he spent his career as a meat-cutter/mgr. for Acme from 1962-1993. His love of making friends and telling stories made him everyone's favorite meat cutter. His grandchildren were very proud of his pic that hug in the meat dept.
A lover of animals, people, donuts and the soap opera, General Hospital, his life was filled with much love.
The greatest love of all came the day he met Nancy June Walker Williams at a skating rink. He was 19 and she was 16. They married after 6 weeks of dating. After 69 years of marriage, they still drove each other nuts.
They will forever share their daughters, Debbie (Lance), Sandy, (Gary), and Brenda; grandchildren, Josh (Tiffany), Jessica (Mike), and Tim (Allie). He had 8 great-grandchildren and he was going to be a great-great-grandpa next year. And also his dog, Sparky.
Waiting to greet him at the gates are parents, Alma and Bill; brothers, Bill and Bob; son-in-law, Andy; and his dog, Teddy Bear.
A huge thank you to Community Hospice's nurses and aides and to Truman House for his awesome care.
Memorial calling will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday December 2, 2021 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
