Paul Jursik

We are grieving the loss of our dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Paul left us on July 6, 2018 after a diagnosis of Mesothelioma 18 months ago. Paul was born in Barberton, Ohio to Paul Jursik, Sr. and Agnes (Smith) Jursik on November 20, 1940. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Akron, OH and attended the Applied Arts School of Advertising and Graphic Design in Akron, OH. After a 40-year career in the advertising profession he retired as a Senior Art Director of Hitchcock Fleming in 2003.

Paul was predeceased by his wife of 32 years, Marsha (the mother of his children), his parents, Agnes and Paul Jursik, and his sister, Eileen Bodendorfer. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Carol, his son David Jursik (Debbie Robinson), daughter Karen Eisenzimmer (Jay), his son, Daron (Susie Ayers), his grandchildren Bailey Jursik, Ean and Quinn Eisenzimmer, his surviving sisters, Joan Cutshall of Oklahoma, Darla (Bill) Meyer and Diana (Joe) Shepard of Colorado. He is also survived by step-children Steven Strbich (Connie), Mary Ann Rummell (Jay) and Janet Catalano. He leaves behind additional grandchildren Kali, Isaiah, Erin (Ryan), Dan, Jessica, Ben, Dominic, Matthew and Madison any many other relatives, friends and neighbors. He is also survived by his 4-legged boy, Jerry, who misses him already. He was an accomplished artist and belonged to the Akron Society of Artists. He saw beauty in everything. He loved reading, feeding the birds, classical music, traveling, visiting casinos, working out and walking Jerry, visiting with neighbors along the way.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223 with Father Thomas McCann officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Private Inurnment. If you wish to make donations in his name, his favorite charity was the Salvation Army.
