CUYAHOGA FALLS- Raymond “Tom” McIntire Sr., 84, passed away Nov 3, 2023. He was born in Fairview, WV to the late Carl and Virgie McIntire. Tom was a Vietnam Veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army as a heavy vehicle driver. He was a jack of all trades, working as an electrician, mechanic, truck driver, carpenter and served as an auxiliary police officer for the Cuyahoga Falls Police Dept. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed hobbies such as hunting, fishing, woodworking and entertaining as a DJ. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Ralph Huff Post 1062, and was a member of the American Legion Charles Faust Post 281, 40/8. Tom loved country and blue grass music, playing the guitar, sometimes sitting in with the Bandits.
Preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Robert, Don, Nancy (Charles) Miller and Sonny; granddaughter, Laura; He is survived by his wife of 46 years Debbie, children, Patti (John), Raymond Jr. (Heidi), Michael, Beth, Jim (Cari), Josh (Rebekah), Jeremy (Claire) and Jason (Tina); grandchildren, Deanne, Tony, Rochelle, Rachel, Tara, Amanda, Ryan, Rachel, Lorelai, Sadie Jo, Maximus, Cayden, Colton and Finley; 15 greatgrandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial calling will be held from 5-8 PM on Monday November 13, 2023 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where a memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday Nov. 14. Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church, 1127 Southeast Ave. Tallmadge, OH 44278.
