Richard Gene Bye, Jr.

CUYAHOGA FALLS, -Richard Gene Bye Jr. passed away on September 30, 2022, after an extended illness. He was born on September 11, 1956, in Akron, Ohio to the late Richard and Betty Bye Sr.  He graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1974. He was employed with Acme for many years. Richard enjoyed watching Cleveland sports. He loved spending time with friends and his daughters.

 He will be missed by his two daughters, Jamie (Jon) Hammer, Erica (Jon) Evans; grandchildren, Wesley, Lucille, Olivia, and Millie; brother, Randy (Christine) Bye; and many other family and friends.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Bath Creek Estates and Crossroads hospice for their care and compassion.

There will be visitation on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 4pm to 7pm at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. A funeral service will also be held at the funeral home on October 6, 2022, at 10am. Following the funeral service Richard will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls.
