Richard Eberly

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Richard “Dick” Eberly, 84, passed away on September 3, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born to the late Murl and Ivy Eberly on November 6,1938 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Richard graduated from CFHS in January 1957. After graduation Richard volunteered to serve his country in the United States Army. In 1959 Richard married the love of his life Judy. After the military Richard went on to work for the Plain Dealer where he retired after 35 years of dedicated service. Once he retired, he worked part time at the Summit County ESC. This enabled him to have more time to enjoy his passions of boating, fishing, trips to Florida every winter, and golf. Also, after retiring Richard had time to share his love of  volunteer work at Bethany UCC; Bread Run and Family Promise.  

Richard is preceded in death by his sisters, Joan and Nancy.

Richard will be missed by his wife of 65 years, Judy; children, Terri (Rob), Christine, Jill (Perry); grandchildren, Ric (Kelsea), Tyler, Julianna (Landon), Nicholas; many other nieces, nephews, family, friends, and his beloved 1950 2- door Ford sedan.

His love for family knew no bounds.

There will be a celebration of life on September 9, 2023 at Bethany UCC, 1235 Broad Blvd, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223 at 11am with visitation an hour before.
