Richard Anthony Fugarino

Richard “Butch” Anthony Fugarino, age 80, of Cuyahoga Falls, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

Butch was born on June 18, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Mary and Domenic “Babe” Fugarino. He was a 1963 graduate of Hoban High School. He later served in the U.S. Army and was a proud member of the Honor Guard. For many years, he, alongside his parents, owned and operated the Glens Restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls, where he carried on the legacy. In later years, Butch worked as a Chemical Tech at Norton Manufacturing until his retirement.

Butch could hold his own in any conversation, always ready with thorough insight or a story on just about any topic. He enjoyed camping, meeting new people and spending time with family and friends.

He is lovingly survived by JoMarie Fugarino; his sons, Marc and Shawn (Jen) Fugarino; and his cherished grandchildren, Anna and Allie Fugarino.

Cremation has taken place, and the family will receive friends September 6th from 12pm-1pm, followed immediately by a service at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home located at 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
