Ronald Lee Babb, 77, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, but well-loved and comfortable in his home on November 20, 2024. He was born with a disability that kept him childlike his entire life and a hearing problem that kept him from speaking clearly. He was very happy the day he received his Chochlear implant that enabled him to hear. He attended the Chapel on Fir Hill with his family, faithfully attending his twice a month Special Needs Sunday School Class. Ronnie was a passionate lifelong artist, always drawing Mickey Mouse and cowboys. In church during the sermon, he drew many pictures of Jesus as a Sheriff. He had a desk at Silo Art Studio where he made his masterpieces with colored pencils. He was becoming somewhat famous in the Canton area for his art, won an award, and many of his pieces have been sold. Ronnie loved children, often sharing his love of art by coloring with them. He enjoyed watching Disney, Westerns, Cartoons and Wrestling. Ronnie was very enthusiastic about holidays, making decorations, wearing festive sweaters and his special holiday hats. He was a very helpful and caring person and was always willing to lend a hand no matter what his condition. Ronnie enjoyed playing baseball every summer with the Dream League where he got a homerun every time he was at bat.
Ronnie has joined his beloved parents in the arms of Jesus, where he can now hear and talk.
Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Eileen Babb; he is survived by his sisters, Joan Turnbull, Paula D. Douglas (Dan) and Gail Ann Babb (Dan); nephews, Daniel (Dana) and David Earlenbaugh (Melanie), and niece, Jennifer Eadeh (Eddie); great-nieces and nephews, Joseph, Timothy, Austen, Malia, Willow, Judah, Sierra, Madison and Zachary; and great-great niece, Na’Laya.
Memorial calling will be held at 10 AM and the service will start at 11 AM on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the Chapel on 135 Fir Hill, Akron, OH 44304.
In lieu of flowers or other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Silo Art Studio, 431 4th St. NW, Canton, Oh or the Dream League, the Forty Corners Church of God, 3474 Beaumont Ave. NW, Massillon, OH 44647.
