Ronald James Policy

Ronald “Ron” Policy, age 87, passed away peacefully at home in Cuyahoga Falls on September 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on December 17, 1937, Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and June Policy. He is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Rita Lightfoot; his son, Jason (Colleen) Policy; sister, Paula Morris; granddaughters, Monika Bowman and Jennifer Thibodeaux; grandson, David T. Thibodeaux; great-grandson, Murray Bell; as well as cousins, Susan Rothmann, Pamela Cokes, and Beth Rusnack.

Ron graduated from Kent State University and went on to earn his doctorate from the University of Wisconsin. He dedicated 34 years of his career to Waddell & Reed Investment Firm before retiring. Upon retirement, Ron and Rita returned to Ohio, where they made their home in Silver Lake.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at a later date.
