Ruth Carlyon

RAVENNA – Ruth M. Carlyon, 93, passed away August 3, 2018. She was a life-long Cuyahoga Falls resident before moving to Ravenna. Ruth worked for the original Standard Drug going on to retire from the Hudson Post Office. Ruth enjoyed reading, golfing, puzzles and especially fishing in Florida, where she had a second home.

Preceded in death by her parents, Oakley and Edith Timms; husband, Robert Carlyon; siblings, Vernon, Oakley, Robert, Floyd, Walter, Lillian, Mildred, Violet and Lois; she is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Earnest; grandchildren, Lori (David) Workman and Reed (April) Earnest; greatgrandchildren, Torrie (Matt) Webster, Brittany Petrosky, Thomas Earnest and James Brooker.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to St. Jude’s 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
