Ruth Anne Dicken

Listen to Obituary

We are sadly saying goodbye to our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, who loved her family with her whole heart. Ruth Anne (Polosky) Dicken, 90, passed away peacefully May 12, 2026, and went home to be with the Lord. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Ruth was born in Braddock, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Dr. Fred and Ruth Heupler, and sisters, Patricia Morrison and Mary Heupler. She resided in either Stow or Cuyahoga Falls for the past 60 years. Ruth loved to sew, bake and was an accomplished pianist in her younger years. Later in life, she found joy in dancing and entered several dance competitions. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She absolutely loved having the whole family together (unless it got too loud). She will be remembered as a happy, energetic and loving caretaker of her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her seven children: Donna Kaaikaula (Mike), Carol (Clyde) Jackson, Leanne (Brad) McNicholas, David Polosky, Dale (Mina) Polosky, Mary Ann (Jason) Routh, and Amy (Steve) Davis. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Bobby (Raelee) Kaaikaula, Kristin (Edwin) Pina. Alexandria Anthony (Scott), Erin McNicholas (Jacob), Adam (Lexi) Polosky, Evan, Brianna, Jordan (Jessica) Waite, Dillon Waite (Morgan), Michael and Madeline; her great-grandchildren: Braylen, Briella, Bryson, Austin, Blake, Xander, Skyler, Peyton, Riley, Kennedy, Nashton and Lakeland; her brother Dr. Fred Heupler, and many extended family members. Ruth’s memory will be carried forward in love by all who knew her and with deep gratitude for a life well lived.

A graveside memorial service will be held for the family on Friday, May 15, at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude.
