Sophia Mary Ann Kisela passed away peacefully at Akron General Hospital on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 after a long illness, and was welcomed into the loving arms of her father and mother, Peter and Mary Koutlas, sister, Helen and brother Thomas.
She was born on August 27, 1938 and was a lifelong resident of the Akron area. She was and forever will be a loving mother and wife whose passion was her family, her home, her cooking and her cleaning.
She leaves behind, to celebrate cherished memories, her wonderful, caring and loving husband of nearly 50 years, Richard P. Kisela, her treasured sons, Richard (Nancy) Kisela, James (Beth) Kisela, and her loving daughter Mary Ann (Dennis)Brazelton, and their children, Erin Marie Kisela, Hayley Pauline Smith, Marissa Mary Smith, Justin and Kevin Brazelton. Also left to cherish wonderful memories is the big brother she adored, James (Virginia) Koutlas, Theodore Callas, and her beloved sisters Priscilla Koutlas, Esther Mullins and Patricia Koutlas. She also leaves behind a host of wonderful nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in law, friends and cousins, as well as her much loved, Riley, Oscar, McDuff, Alfalfa and Darla.
Friends may call at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls from 6-8 pm Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 am at St. Joseph Church of Cuyahoga Falls. Cremation will follow. The family suggests memorials be made to the Kidney Foundation of Summit County, 1889 Indian Hills Trail, Akron, OH 44313 or to the American Diabetes Assoc., 1815 West Market St., Ste. 108, Akron, OH 44313.
