Steven J. Walrafen

Steven J. Walrafen, age 73, of Stow, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, with his beloved wife by his side.

Born on March 10, 1952, in Akron, Ohio, Steven was the son of the late Gerald and Maxine (Bishop) Walrafen. A proud graduate of Firestone High School, Class of 1972, Steven went on to spend his career in the automotive industry, working in various sales and parts delivery roles. His strong work ethic and friendly nature made a lasting impression on those he met along the way.

Steven was a proud member of the Cuyahoga Falls Eagles Club and the Stow American Legion. In his free time, he found great joy in sports, particularly golf and bowling, and was a devoted fan of NASCAR and the Cleveland Browns.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his in-laws, Mike and Elsie Mitchell.

Steven will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Margaret Walrafen; his sister, Sandra (Joel) Jarvis; brothers-in-law, Michael (Manuel) Mitchell and John (April) Mitchell; and his nieces and nephews: Matthew, Cory, and Brandon Jarvis, and Joseph, Melissa, Jonathan, and Whitney Mitchell. He also leaves behind many great-nieces and nephews and cherished lifelong friends, Jerry and Lori Mellinger.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A private interment will take place at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
