Suzanne Obrycki

CUYAHOGA FALLS –Suzanne R. (Warshauer) Obrycki, 66, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away at her home on February 13, 2021.

Suzanne was born in Denver, CO, on April 24, 1954, to Donna (Zolper) and Theodore Warshauer. She grew up in Denver until age 14 when she moved to the beautiful seaside town of Largs, Scotland, followed by a move to London, England. She loved sharing stories with her children about her time living in Europe and always dreamed of returning there with them someday. At 18 she moved back to the U.S. and met Stanley Obrycki, with whom she married and later had three children, Jennifer, Katie, and Michael. Despite separating later in life, Suzanne and Stan remained close as they shared a connection of humor, sports, compassion for people, and teaching their kids about life.

Suzanne moved to Cuyahoga Falls in 2017, a community which she loved dearly in her short time living there.

To describe Suzanne as a selfless woman would be an understatement. Her entire life was committed to making the lives of those around her easier in any possible way. For her entire adult life she went out of her way to ensure that her children, their friends and partners, her grandchildren, and her pets could live as happily as possible. After working in the mortgage lending, real estate, and banking industries, she spent the bulk of her professional career as a medical transcriptionist - a job she adored. Despite working from home and never having officemates, her colleagues she met remotely through her job remained some of her best friends until her passing.

She was a sports fanatic and many of her nights and weekend days were spent standing at her small television set in her kitchen cheering on her beloved Broncos, Browns, Buckeyes, Cavaliers, or Indians. The only things she loved more than sports were her children and her grandchildren, Adelaide and Deek. “Nana” was the title she donned most proudly and just like the shirt she often wore said, she was the “Best Nana Ever.”

She was predeceased by her mother, Donna (1989) and father, Ted (2005).

Suzanne is survived by Stan, of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter Jennifer, of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter Katie (David) Baker and grandchildren Adelaide and Deek, of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; son Michael, of New Franklin, OH; a brother Mark (Marilyn) Warshauer of Middleton, WI; and a sister, Julie Winfield of Chicago, IL.

A memorial service and celebration of Suzanne’s life will be held sometime in the late spring or early summer
