CUYAHOGA FALLS - Theresa B. Stefan (nee Wahl), passed away March 15, 2005 after an extended illness. She was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls and previously Akron, Ohio for the past 59 years. Theresa was born in Nemetker, Hungary on October 10, 1922. She came to Canada with her family when she was four years old, and lived there until she came to the United States in 1946 and became a naturalized citizen. She has been a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a member of the Seton Group. She was also a Life Member of the DAV Auxiliary - Chapter 35.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank J., Sr. She leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Bob Hengle of Suffield; four sons and daughters-in-law, Frank, Jr. and Brenda of Granger, IN, Bob and Sue of Cuyahoga Falls, Don and Maureen of Fairborn, OH, and John and Trish of Uniontown. She also leaves her grandchildren, Jennifer and Vince Parker of Cuyahoga Falls, Christina and Kent Houchins of Vincennes, IN, Melissa and Jason Cook of Akron, Annie Stefan of Cuyahoga Falls, Tommy Stefan and Katie Stefan, both of Fairborn, OH; and four great-grandchildren, Rachel Jordyn Parker and Alexander Joseph Thomas Parker, both of Cuyahoga Falls, Andrea Michelle Houchins of Vincennes, IN and Zoey Ann Cook of Akron. She also leaves behind her sister, Anne (Walter) Spaunburg of Leamington, Ontario, Canada; and brothers Fred Wahl of Leamington, Ontario and Frank Wahl (Frances) of Wardsville, Ontario; and brother-in-law Mike Homeniuk of Windsor, Ontario; many nieces, nephews and other relatives in Canada, and a niece, Pattie Stefan in High Point, NC and her daughter, Tina in Mexico City, Mexico along with many other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 18 and The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, March 19 at St. Joseph's Church in Cuyahoga Falls with Father James Marsick officiating. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
