Thomas P. Redfern, 80, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and laughter.
Born in Akron, Tom was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. He went on to build a long and dedicated career at the Chrysler Stamping Plant, where he worked for 30 years before enjoying retirement.
Tom was a devoted father to his three daughters, Charla (Jamie) Givens, Kristine Lambis, and Abbey (Kevin) McArthur. He was also a proud grandfather to Taylor, Nicholas, Cameron, Olivia, Gwyneth, Vincent, and Leah, each of whom brought him endless joy and plenty of reasons to smile. He will also be missed by his siblings, Alauna Redfern and Michael Redfern.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Wanda M. Redfern, and his brother Kenneth W. Redfern.
Tom served his country honorably in the United States Army, a chapter of his life he carried with pride.
In his free time, Tom could often be found out on the golf course, where his swings were as consistent as his sense of humor; or enjoying the shores of Lake Erie in Marblehead, a place that brought him peace and happiness. He also valued the friendships he built at the local Italian American Club, where good conversation and camaraderie were never in short supply.
Above all, Tom’s greatest accomplishment was his family. He loved deeply, laughed often, and lived in a way that reminded everyone around him not to take life too seriously.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
At Tom’s request, cremation has taken place. Guests are welcome to visit with the family on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 5-7 pm at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. He will be laid to rest with military honors in an intimate ceremony for family at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
