Violet Ruth Guinn

STOW-Violet Ruth Guinn, 92, went to be with the Lord January 29, 2022. Born in Akron, a life-long resident of the Stow area. She graduated Class of 1947 from Cuyahoga Falls High School.

Her life was a living example of one of her favorite bible verses, Ephesians 4:32: "Be kind, tender-hearted and forgiving to each other, just as God also forgave in Christ."

Violet was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her husband and children and embraced every moment with them. She also especially loved her role as nanny to all her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her mother, Vivian, Jack (Poppy) Whittaker; her aunt, Violet; daughter, Jacqueline (Char) Guinn; and granddaughter, Maggie Guinn. She is survived by her husband, Lyle Guinn, Sr.; sons, Charles (Marge) Guinn of Stow and Lyle (Donna) Guinn, Jr. of Corryton, TN; 6 grandchildren, Charles, Jr., Jonathan, Joe, Sammi, Kenna, and Lyle III; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
