We celebrate the life of Bill Breehl, who left us on February 24, 2026, at the age of 71.
Bill lived his life untethered. He was unfazed by rules, unapologetically himself, and always spoke what was in his heart. He would do absolutely anything (and you know we mean anything) for his family and friends. When Alzheimer’s tried to take that away from him, he knew it was time to get out of here.
At the center of his world was his family. A proud father to Kevin (Brittani) and Megan (Doug), loving grandpa to Frankie and Jack, husband to Dawn, brother to Vicki and David, and uncle to Jennifer, Jana, Logen, Torry, Payton, and many other nieces and nephews. He gave big hugs, teased often, and never missed a chance to remind his people how much they mattered to him. Just as important to him were his friends, including best friend Rob Mains, and many lifelong buddies from “the neighborhood.” He loved playing golf, frequenting golf stores, talking for hours about sports, walks with Charlee, and grabbing a Budweiser with his buddies.
Bill had a lifelong Love of the Game. He told animated stories of his days playing baseball, from Little League to the Semi Pro Akron “Double A” league. He spent over a decade as a coach and mentor to young athletes.
He dedicated over 30 years to the beverage industry as a sales leader, consistently building and mentoring top-earning teams. For him, it was not just about numbers, but relationships. He was both loyal to his team and to the brands he sold.
Bill’s legacy will live on in the countless funny stories he left us with. He was one of one. A buddy to all. A protector of his people. You were so loved, Wild Bill.
Memorial visitation to honor Bill will take place at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home on March 6 from 3-6 p.m., with remarks at 5:30 p.m. Immediately following, at 6 p.m., the family welcomes everyone to join them at Missing Mountain Brewery for a Celebration of Bill’s Life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Bill’s name to Cuyahoga Falls Little League at www.cflln.net
