William Barton

CUYAHOGA FALLS-Bill Barton passed peacefully into the presence of Christ on April 30, 2018, at the age of 88, after four months of being cared for by his daughter’s family in Seattle, WA.

He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Born in Akron, Ohio where he met his sweetheart, Bill married and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the next 57 years. He was a loving, caring, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was a veteran and after serving his country, worked as an operating engineer for his entire career. He actively participated in his union and enjoyed volunteering with AARP doing taxes.

Bill is survived by his only child, Patti Kilcup (Pastor Mark Kilcup) of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren and three great grandsons, along with a brother and sister.

Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Thursday, May 17 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where a funeral service will be held Friday, May 18 at 1:00 PM. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
