William Stiver

William K. Stiver, 83, passed away February 5, 2009. Mr. Stiver was born in Homer City, PA and had resided in Akron since 1953. He had worked in tire re-treading for Portage Bandag, was a member of Celebration Church and was a Veteran of WWII having served with the U. S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl and is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lois (nee Kerr); children, Richard (Mary K.) of Hopwood, PA, Marlyn (Terry) Depp of Yorktown, VA, David (Diana) of Colorado Springs, CO and Timothy (Diane) of Akron and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3:00 to 5:00 pm Monday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday in Celebration Church 688 Dan St. Akron, OH 44310, Rev. Jeff Wade officiating. Friends may call at church beginning at 1:00 pm Tuesday. Interment Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to his church.
