Carl Ernest Ehmann, 90, our dedicated, loving father and grandfather, left us on Thursday, May 6, 2021 for his mansion in Heaven where he was reunited with his beloved wife Alice Ehmann. Carl was born in Mt. Vernon, NY where he met his sweetheart Alice, and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for over 68 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and went on to work for Goodyear Aerospace. Carl retired from the Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL) with over 30 years of service. In addition to being a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for the past 68 years, he was also a member of the Canal Society of Ohio, Akron Railroad Club, and the Lighter-Than-Air Society.
Survivors include sons, Carl and Chris Ehmann; daughter, Heidi Wojcik (Paul); grandsons, Brian, Steven and Thomas Ehmann; honorary grandson, Bryan Gregory and granddaughters, Stephanie and Ashley Ehmann; brother-in-law, Phillip Breden and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Palmer, and Henrietta Rossi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Henrietta (Dietz) Ehmann and siblings, Roger and Virginia.
The family will greet friends from 4-7 pm on Friday, May 14, 2021 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2141 5th St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Pastor Paul Frerichs officiating. Guests are welcome to visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
