CUYAHOGA FALLS - Richard Horn, 87, passed away on November 20,2021. He was born on December 11, 1933 to the late Joseph and Gladys Horn in West Richfield, OH. Richard went on to earn a master's degree in Business Education from Kent State University. After graduating Richard taught business courses at Revere High School, Buchtel High School, and Cuyahoga Falls High School. Then he continued his career as a professor at Kent State University for 25 years, teaching business education. Richard was the president of the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society for many years and was also involved in many other organizations in Cuyahoga Falls. He was the owner of the Silver Eagle Antique Shop on Front Street.
Richard will be missed by his wife of 61 years Sharon; children, Gary (Debby) Horn, Leanne (George) Lalos; Grandchildren, Joseph, Jordon, and Marissa Horn; Alexa and Kenzie Lalos; along with other family members and friends.
There will be a visitation on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 5pm to 7pm at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. There will be a funeral service on November 30, 2021 at 11am also at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home. Following the funeral, entombment will take place at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 4724 State Rd, Peninsula, OH 44264.
In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to The Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society, 2083 Cook St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
